Last Chance To Join Shattered Horizon Beta

PC gamers who have been looking for an FPS this year (although Modern Warfare 2 will keep the lot of us quite busy for some time) should consider glancing over at Shattered Horizon - a multiplayer first-person shooter “played in zero gravity.”

Futuremark Games Studios today announced that they are giving gamers one last chance to join the closed beta for the upcoming FPS. It’s almost a guarantee for anyone who registers before Monday, October 5th, as you will be invited to play in the final week of the beta. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Shattered Horizon, the game sees players fighting in the aftermath of a catastrophic Moon mining calamity that throws billions of tons of rocky debris into near-Earth space. In this zero gravity, players will have complete freedom of movement and can use new combat tactics. If you’re looking to shoot the shit with some FPS action, and enjoy blowing off people’s heads to have them curse you out while you laugh hysterically, feel free to give this game a whirl.

The beta is open to PC gamers from North American and Europe aged 18 and over. The minimum hardware requirements to begin your arsenal of ass kicking are Windows Vista or Windows 7, a DirectX 10 GPU, dual core processor, a Steam account, and a broadband Internet connection – how else do you expect to play online?
