If you’re an RTS fan, you’ll no doubt know the name Supreme Commander. It is considered by many to be one of the “must play” RTS games on the PC with a solid fanbase. If you’re one of these fans, get ready to get your daily fix of a chubby. Ready for it? Supreme Commander 2 has been announced to hit store shelves on March 2 and 16th, 2010. But there is some good news and reason for two release dates – apparently, this time around, the sequel isn’t just going to be hitting the PC platform. Alongside the PC launch, Xbox 360 fans will now be able to enjoy supremely commanding (yes, that was said on purpose) their armies to wreck havoc on enemy forces.
Supreme Commander 2, developed by Gas Powered Games, is set 25 years after the first game’s “Infinite War.” Anyone wondering what the plot is going to be about, you’ll be pretty much left in the dark until we get some more information on the game. All we know is that the game looks pretty good and, if it’s anywhere near its 2007 prequel in terms of entertainment, might just be a kick ass game.
If you own a PS3 and are somewhat hoping for this game’s release, you can pretty much forget about it… at least for now. As far as we know, this game is staying exclusive to the PC and Xbox 360. Of course, things can change. Let’s see what happens in the coming months.
