Final Fantasy VIII Coming to American PSN

We’ve known about Final Fantasy VIII being on the Japanese PSN for a while. In the back of my mind I knew it would come out over here, I just didn’t know when. In fact, I still don’t know when, but now that I’ve read through my PSN newsletter, I know that it is definitely going to be available over here before long.
There are quite a few people so enamored with Cloud they can hardly see straight, but I enjoyed the story, characters and unique game play quirks of FFVIII more than its predecessor. I was actually able to relate to Squall and his loner attitude more than any character in FFVII and I thought the other characters, especially Rinoa, were developed much better than the side characters in the previous title.
With that said, I did buy FFVII when it hit the PSN, I still enjoy the game. But you can bet I’m going to pick up FFVIII as soon as it’s available, as well. While I’m on the subject, anyone else in the camp of liking FFVIII over FFVII? Let’s see how many fanboys I can stir up.
