PSP Comic Store Opens Tonight

Sony PSP’s comic service begins tonight in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, at 5pm GMT. The time of release for North America should be sometime today. Ireland’s release which was set to release at 5pm GMT has been delayed due to technical reasons unknown (sorry). The service will launch with a good amount of options for download. Hundreds of old and new comics are promised by the Playstation blog that broke this news, along with even some free ones.

Choose from the battling superheroes of Marvel, including Spider-man, X-Men and the Fantastic Four, to Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. You’ll find TRANSFORMERS and Star Trek from IDW, alongside characters from Titan, iVerse and 2000AD, as well as the latest underground sensations and works from local publishers.

Well there we go, just in time for the holiday shoppers, PSP now has comic books you can take with you where ever you go.
