We Get Enslaved… And We Like It.
That’s the best way to describe our experience with Enslaved, the upcoming action adventure title from Namco Bandai. At a recent press event in NYC, our very own Al Zamora had the privilege of chatting it up with Ryan Adza who is the associate producer for the title. Ryan breaks down the story for those of you who aren’t already familiar with it, as well as what to expect when the title lands on store shelves this October. One of the main characters is named “Monkey”, isn’t that enough incentive to give it a look? Check out the full video interview below and witness why you, like us, may enjoy being Enslaved. Enjoy the clip.

DualShockers StarCraft II: Collectors Edition Unboxing Video Is Sexy!
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty releases tomorrow, for those of you who have been napping under a cozy rock. With the release, a hefty and bulky Collector’s Edition will be hitting store shelves which will come with a bunch of nifty goodies for you StarCraft fans to salivate over. You guys already know that we’re a bunch of cool mofos here at DualShockers so, with that said, we’ve decided to provide you guys with an unboxing video which shows off the amazing novelties that Blizzard has blessed fans with. With my birthday being on Wednesday the 28th, I will admit that it is, by far, one of the best gifts I’ve received as of yet, unless someone decides to surprise me with an Aston Martin or a year’s supply of Chef Boyardee (best Italian food ever!).
After the jump, you’ll bear witness to one of the most anticipated games in this industry receiving its well deserved flaunts. With the game, we have a couple of “Guest Passes” which we will probably give away to those of you who haven’t gotten a taste of the beta. We haven’t determined how we’re going to distribute them yet, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be along the lines of a contest here in the comments section. So, if you’re not going to be able to purchase the game tomorrow, then here’s your chance to receive a couple days of playtime. Check out the video after the jump, and we hope that you enjoy it!
Views: 565Bulletstorm – “There’s More to it than Gangbangs and Nutshots “
Yes, we just went there. The word “gangbang” is officially included in a post title, however it’s with good reason. You see, the last time we had the chance to check out and play Bulletstorm was at E3 (you can read the impressions HERE), and although, I enjoyed the bit I had played, I was worried because even though the gameplay was entertaining I couldn’t help but think that the story would probably lack any substance. Well now my worries can be put to rest as our very own Al Zamora had the chance to chat with Epic Games marketing director Kendall Boyd who reassured us that there will be plenty of story to keep us enthralled throughout. So again, there’s more to Bulletstorm than gangbangs and nutshots! Check out the complete video interview below!

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair Screenshots Released
Konami loves us like they love Hideo Kojima. Okay, maybe not to that extent, but they love us nonetheless. Because we’re so lovable, and because we’re so soft and cuddly, Konami decided to inject us with some of their very own dose of Castlevania: Harmony of Despair screenshots which, I must say, has me more excited than a convicted child molester at a Chuck E. Cheese. We’re kind folk here at DualShockers. And we love you guys so much, that we decided to slather this creamy spread of awesomeness onto your screens.
Like any other 2D Castlevania, most of us here are pumped for the game. If you ogle the screenshots a bit, you’ll take notice that the game’s visuals somewhat resemble that of Symphony of the Night (my favorite in the franchise). Aside from the SNES-esque visuals, we’ll be treated to other goodies like co-op play, a cool map system, and a bad ass protagonist that wields a spear bigger than himself. The game releases on Xbox Live, and will be at Comic-Con, for those of you lucky bastards who are attending.
Check out the screens after the jump. You’re going to love it.
Views: 209Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded Trailer
Kingdom Hearts fans who want to experience a serious moment of nostalgia should probably take a look at the trailer for the upcoming Nintendo DS title Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded and, as I did, smile in approval as we, again, see the big-foot hero Sora and his wacky sidekicks Donald and Goofy prescribing a dosage of sodomy to their enemies. You’ve seen the size of that Keyblade – there’s no need to get any more graphical than that.
That latest Japanese trailer for Re:Coded features some gameplay segments, including a peak at the turn-based combat and platforming. Familiar faces will occupy the screen below, bringing you a memories of a time when it was cool to talk about, or even play with, Disney characters. Check the trailer after the jump.
Views: 139Pac-Man Party Hands-On Impressions
Namco Bandai is celebrating Pac-Man’s 30th birthday with a party game of his own. The appropriately named Pac-Man Party will be released Fall 2010 on Nintendo Wii. I got to play an early build of the game recently, and I am sure you know how the whole party game thing works. In almost every party game, there are mini-games and there is a metagame to tie it all together. So, how does Pac-Man Party set itself apart from your typical Mario Party? It may be a little too early to tell, since I only played an early build, but I think I have a good idea.
I recently got to sit down and check out the kid friendly MySims SkyHeroes, which is slated to release at the end of September. It was the Xbox 360 version and I was told that this was not the final build. It not being the final build was very apparent when the loading times took longer than a normal loading screen should. Other than that, the final version of MySims SkyHeroes should be exactly what I saw.
Views: 262E3 2010 Best of Show Preview: Vanquish
Vanquish is the upcoming science fiction third person shooter from Platinum Games, a.k.a creators of Bayonetta. The game is being directed by Shinji Mikami, creator of the beloved Resident Evil series. The game features a gorgeous graphical style, giving enemies and environments a high tech, futuristic appearance. This TPS is single player only, set to offer a fresh game play experience that is unlike any shooter available. I’ve been extremely excited about this title since i saw the main character burst into a rocket fueled slide across the battlefield to take cover. DualShockers has chosen Vanquish as their E3 2010 Best of Show. Check out this interview from the show floor, where we discuss the games graphics, game play and production. This interview is presented by DualShockers TV. Vanquish is expected to release this October.
Views: 482E3 2010 Best of Show Preview: Brink
Out of all of the first person shooters on the E3 show floor, and there were plenty, none showed more promise, deployability, and innovation than Bethesda and Splash Damage’s upcoming title Brink. Think Borderlands meets Mirrors Edge with a teaspoon of Mad Max (the movie of course) and you have the winning formula to one of our most anticipated titles here at the site. I had the chance to catch up with Paul Wedgewood the CEO of Splash Damage and Game Director for Brink to find out more about what separates this title from everything else thats out there right now. Take a look at the video preview / interview below!
Views: 409BlackLight: Tango Down Launch Screens Arrive
BlackLight: Tango Down may very well be this week’s diamond in the rough when it comes to new releases. It’s an online first person shooter that packs the punch of a AAA title with the price of a Modern Warfare 2 map pack. That’s right, it’s a big title with a small price tag. BlackLight: Tango Down is available now on XBLA for only $15. Check out the screens below if you need any more convincing.
Views: 173E3 2010 Best of Show Preview: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
While there were three major games from Kojima Productions on hand at E3, the two games with the words “Metal Gear” in the title weren’t the ones garnering our attention. When we visited the Konami booth, it was all about Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. The game is taking the series to new heights with it’s over the top action, awesome visuals, and epic scale (A La God of War) gameplay. Our very own Al Zamora had the chance to speak to one of the games testers to find out what we can expect from Castlevania when it hit store shelves this year. Enjoy the clip!
Views: 388E3 2010: Final Fantasy XIV Hands-On Impressions
I was fortunate enough to get hands-on time with the PC tech demo of the Final Fantasy XIV Beta on PC at E3 2010. When it comes to big names in the industry, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy series certainly makes most people’s lists. With a previous entry into the MMO universe, Final Fantasy XI, the series ventures yet again into massive multi-player territory. A very different approach with a fresh and new looking result is what Square Enix intends to offer. This time around a complete experience for the lone wolf / solo type of player as well as those who prefer to group up is yours for the taking.
