Details of Hideo Kojima's future projects, both confirmed and rumored, have been barraging the Internet for months now, and it looks like they're far from finished, as gameplay footage of the developer's alleged 'Overdose' title has recently leaked. The video showcases a character with a stark resemblance to Margaret Qualley (who played Mama in Death Stranding), walking around dark corridors wearing a hospital gown, while in the bottom left corner there's a shot of a real person playing the game on what looks to be a phone.

A few times throughout the video, circular orange UI elements show up on screen, seemingly prompting the player to press on a touchscreen. On the top left of the video, a bright red text is constantly displayed, reading, "Camera Player 1." After a jumpscare, the video ends on a black screen, with a title that reads, "A Hideo Kojima game Overdose." The video's original posting appears to have been deleted. However, a reupload on YouTube may still be viewable here.

TryHardGuides first reported on the supposed existence of this Overdose game back in June, and its article described a video that sounded identical to the one that has now leaked. It's not exactly sure if this is the same "Who am I?" project that Kojima keeps teasing on social media, but some information does appear to line up. Kojima recently stated that the "Who am I?" project was "almost like a new medium," and that it could "turn things around, not just in the game industry, but in the movie industry as well."

Furthermore, he said that it's a game that he'd wanted to make for years, but the technology was never sufficient until now. Though the video doesn't give fans much to go off of, it does appear to be quite different from a traditional controller game. The 'Player 1' text could mean there is some unusual multiplayer element to it, while the fact that it's being played on a phone is likely because it is taking advantage of cloud streaming technology, something that has advanced a lot recently.

Finally, this matches what Kojima said when announcing a partnership with Xbox; that he'd been waiting a long time to make a certain game and could do so now due to "Microsoft's cutting edge cloud technology." If everything lines up, this 'Overdose' project could be the "Who am I?" project, as well as the Xbox project. It is, of course, always possible that the matching info is coincidental, and Kojima is simply working on many things at a time. Given his close connection with host Geoff Keighley, we may get answers at this year's Game Awards on December 8.
