Pokemon Legends: Arceus is finally here and with it, a bunch of new Pokemon, one of which is Overqwil, a Pokemon that evolves from Gold and Silver's Qwilfish.

Qwilfish has been a prominent member of the Pokemon series since the second generation and has, up until this point, been mostly useless.

However, now, the Pokemon which is usually Water and Poison-type, has a Hisuain form, which is Dark and Poison-type alongside a brand new evolution, Overqwil, potentially shaking up the game and its meta.

So, to help you get the new Pokemon, here's how you evolve Hisuian Qwilfish into Overqwil in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

How To Evolve Qwilfish into Overqwil in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

First of all, you'll need to find and catch yourself a Hisuian Qwilfish. These can be found at the Cobalt Coastlands in either Tranquility Cove or in Lunker's Lair.

After you've managed to nab yourself the Pokemon, it requires a slightly different method to evolve into Overqwil.

To make Hisuian Qwilfish evolve into Overqwil, you will need to use the move Barb Barrage on 20 different occasions whilst having the Pokemon in "Strong Style" rather than standard or "Agile Style".

Hisuian Qwilfish learns the move Barb Barrage at level 15, so provided yours is above this, you'll be able to use the move 20 times evolve it into an Overqwil relatively easily.

Overqwil's type combination means it's fairly sturdy, only weak to Ground-type moves and has resistances to Ice, Poison, Ghost and Dark-type moves, while not taking damage from Psychic-types at all.
