James Bond 007 Franchise is Over Without Gamers

It’s no joke that the entire James Bond 007 franchise is in danger right now and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli (yes that’s a real name) are reportedly “worried” about the future of the spy thriller series known and loved by millions worldwide. In London a party / event was held to showcase the upcoming Xbox 360 / PS3 / PC 007 title, James Bond 007: Blood Stone (also known as Blood Stone 007) and included a performance of the video game’s main theme song from British singer Joss Stone, unforgettable Bond items on display such as the actual GoldFinger, Jaws’ famous teeth, and the Blood Stone 007 Bond girl dressed in all black. Activision had jaws dropped at E3 2010 with the announcement of a 2010 remake for GoldenEye 007 on the Wii as well. What many of you may not know however, is that MGM is currently facing approximately $4 billion in debt.

The Xbox Live Community Decides the Fate of Gears of War 3 Character Carmine

In the upcoming sci-fi third person shooter/action title Gears of War 3 gamers of the Xbox Live variety will actually be able to decide the fate of the rookie character known as Carmine. Clayton Carmine is the full name, don’t wear it out. This rookie or otherwise known as “noob” character will be making his appearance in the third installment of the series on Xbox 360 and have the chance to actually survive through it unlike his previous rookie peers Anthony and Ben. In order to cast your vote for death or life in the fate of this man gamers will have the chance to buy Xbox Live avatar clothing such as a black shirt reading “Save Carmine” or a red shirt that says “Carmine Must Die”. As the winner of over 30 “Game of the Year” awards, this title is one that many shooter fans are clamoring for and is probably on everybody’s holiday wish list (even if you aren’t the biggest Epic Games fan). These digital shirts will be on sale in the Xbox Live Marketplace starting July 29th.

In addition to this special offering of fan input and avatar gear Epic Games is also letting the attendees of Comic Con be ‘among the first’ to check out Beast Mode for Gears of War 3 hands-on at the Xbox booth where Cliff Bleszinski, Rod Fergusson, and Karen Traviss will be on deck to sign their name to your heart’s content. At the NECA booth there will also be real life versions of the shirts sold. Sounds like an interesting day for Gears fans.

Nothing goes together like Call of Duty trailers and Eminem tracks. You saw Activision work wonders with the Modern Warfare 2 trailer and Eminem’s “Till I Collapse” but if you were slightly disappointed by the Black Ops trailer then this remix is for you. Yet Another Batch of Xbox Downloads On Sale

For weeks now, the Xbox Deal of the Week has featured, not just one title on sale, but multiple titles. Although, it is out of the ordinary, all I have to say about what’s going on is, “let the good times roll”. Honestly, I don’t think I’m ever going to download a game that is not on sale, again. Every title I have downloaded has been on sale at one point or another. It’s probably better just to wait.

Naughty Bear: Unibear Video Filled With Fury

EA Gives First Look at NBA Elite 11 Screens

EA Sports has unleashed what they are calling a First Look at NBA Elite 11 screens which include an Xbox 360 controller showing gamers the very button inputs being represented in the images. Check out what NBA Elite 11 will look like while you make jump-shots, dunks, spins and more not only graphically but see the controls too. Be on the lookout for more on this game expected to drop in October 2010.

Madden 11 “Blink” Trailer Gets Extended Edition

The latest Madden 11 trailer “Blink” takes gamers through the first person view of a Madden 11 football star, with a Lil Wayne soundtrack no less. Get into the huddle and get ready to get your game on. This trailer shows us that getting a touchdown often comes down to how many times you can stop yourself from blinking. Madden 11 is expected to release August 10th, 2010.
