Ninety Nine Nights II is Now Available

There is a new Xbox 360 exclusive title that hasn’t received nearly as much attention as some of the others. I’ll give you a clue; It was discussed at Konamis’ E3 conference. N3II is a direct sequel to the 2006 cult favorite Ninety Nine Nights and it is now available at retailers nationwide.

The game features both new characters and returning favorites, as well as a new storyline expanding on the events of the first game. Other new features include new difficulty levels and a redone art style to coincide with the games new developer; Feelplus. Perhaps the biggest addition is the new online component. Players can enjoy online Co-op as well as a leaderboard for high scores.

Additionally, some content is exclusive to the online modes. The game utilizes a new technology that allows hundreds of enemies to be rendered on screen at once. There are plans to support the game through downloadable content post release. Fans of the first game have what seems to be a solid purchase in N3II. Ninety Nine Nights 2 retails for $59.99.

Be Rewarded With Just Cause 2 Preorder

Many of us gamers were interested in getting Just Cause 2 when it is released. Avalanche Studios and Eldos Interactive wants to make sure we get our copies. What better way to ensure that by rewarding us with down-loadable guns and gadgets to help us through the baddies. There are five downloads in fact, but unfortunately we are only allowed one of the five. Sucks, right? But none the less it is still great and helpful that they even offered to give that to us.

Get Your Resident Evil 5 DLC News Fix

Capcom has given us a good amount of details today on the upcoming Resident Evil 5 content. The new content will be available throughout the months of February and March of next year, on the Xbox Live marketplace and Playstation Network. Also, the new content along with the original Resident Evil 5 will be available in disc form, and will be known as Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition. The new content includes two episodes, new costumes, and  “The Mercenaries Reunion” mode.

The first of the two new episodes is called “LOST IN NIGHTMARES.” Capcom gives us details on the episode:

“Previously only seen during cut scenes of the original Resident Evil 5, the first new episode titled “LOST IN NIGHTMARES,” finds BSAA agent, Chris Redfield, working with his partner, Jill Valentine, as they investigate Ozwell E. Spencer’s hideaway. Spencer, the evil mastermind and co-founder of Umbrella Corporation, has been hiding a new evil deep within the basement of his mansion. Chris and Jill discover this grotesque evil standing in their way as the two enter deeper into the catacombs beneath the mansion.”

Unfortunately, the details and title of the second of the two new episodes has not been released as of now. Both of the episodes and two costume packs will all be available as separate download packs. Each of the downloads will come with two new characters and new weapons for “The Mercenaries Reunion” mode, totaling to 8 new characters. Resident Evil 5 DLC

After the announcement of Resident Evil 5: The Alternative Edition coming to North America in Spring of 2010, polls were taken on whether or not the new content driven title should be on a disc or available for download. The American and European polls have spoken, and downloadable has won! Expect the downloadable content to hit XBL and PSN next year, and not on some stupid disc at triple the price. I really wish they had done this with Street Fighter IV. As a fan of Resident Evil 5 who found the game to become stale rather quickly, I am very pleased to see DLC coming. No word yet on whether or not the PC version will see any of the new content.

Dragon Age: Origins Out Now

The highly anticipated Dragon Age: Origins has arrived stores today. No more wait. No more looking at our news posts over and over. No more downloading our screenshots and sending them to all your friends. BioWare’s highly anticipated Dragon Age: Origins is now available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Downloadable content will also be available for who are already wishing to expand their newly bought games. Downloadable content packs include Warden’s Keep, The Stone Prisoner and the Blood Dragon Armor. What is interesting about the Blood Dragon Armor download is that it works for both Dragon Age: Origins, and the upcoming Mass Effect 2. The rest of the downloads will not be as cool as being useful for 2 different games, but they will expand the RPG adventure in terms of items, weapons, abilities, environments and gameplay. So go buy and play the game now!
