THQ Wireless Releases de Blob for iPhone

THQ Wireless, a subsidiary of THQ Inc, announced today that an iPhone version of de Blob: Revolution is now available through iTunes. Also announced, the game will soon be available for the iPad as well. de Blob is a highly entertaining puzzle/maze game jam packed with over 4,000 levels. With that many levels, this is a pick up and play game that will keep you busy for hours.

Super Newtronic Now Available On iTunes Store

Phantom EFX has released a new app for you iPhone and iPod touch people out there. Super Newtronic uses physics combined with captivating lights and sounds to enthrall the player. Once you start, you’ll be hooked.

The goal of the game is to use metal balls to smash bricks. Sounds easy enough right? Using your finger you can draw energy lines that the metal balls bounce off of and into the bricks. Tapping the screen will set off an explosion that sends the ball flying,  if you tap and hold with your finger, it will charge up your explosion for an even bigger boom.

Turf Wars Claims 100,000 Turfs Worldwide!

Today MeanFreePath has announced that the Geography based Crime MMO Turf Wars, available for iPhone and iPod, has been spread to over 100,000 turfs!  As DualShockers mentioned a few weeks ago in the ShockCasts, highly populated areas in real life like New York have been seeing the true massive potential for Turf Wars.  Read on for some recent screens from the game.

XS Games Announces The Release Of The Red Star

Previously released for the PlayStation 2, XS Games has announced that they will be releasing The Red Star in early Spring 2010.  The Red Star,  a mish-mash of shooter and fist fighting action based on the graphic novel by Christian Gossett, will be available for both the iPhone and the PSPgo.   Compared to the PlayStation 2 though, this new release will showcase improved controls and cleaner visuals.

Electronic Arts has announced that their new Skate It game for iPhone & iPod Touch will be the greatest skating experience available for download. EA states that their game will be “[the] most realistic skate experience for iPhone & iPod touch is now in your hands.”

TurfWars Releases New Vendetta Update

TurfWars is a location-based iPhone game that lets you claim various local points as your own and team up with and fight off other players for control of geographical territory.  Today the developers, MeanFreePath, announced that their long-awaited Vendetta update has gone live.  There is no need to update the application for this update (unless you haven’t updated in a while).  Vendettas allow a new way to compete for local resources and allow all players at level 25 or higher to use those mechanics for protection and local domination.

Rockstar Reveals Unreleased Beaterator-Made Beat!

Up for some Kick-Ass?

WHA Entertainment announced today that on April 15th you can kick all the ass you want on Kick-Ass, releasing to the iPhone and PlayStation Network.  Based off of a movie with the same name, which releases the day after the game, you can play in 3-D action as one of three teenage super heroes, Big Daddy, Kick-Ass or Hit Girl.

Street Fighter IV iPhone Characters and Price Set

With Capcom announcing iPhone’s version of one of the best fighting games in 2009 earlier this month, now more details have been revealed. The character roster names have been revealed, along with the price to download from the Apple App Store next month.
