Atelier Rorona 2 Before We Even Get the Original?

Atelier Rorona is a Gust-developed RPG for the PS3, which is being brought over to North America compliments of NIS. Even though they have confirmed it will be localized, no firm date has been given on when it will be, past a general date of ’sometime in 2010.’ Even though we still don’t have the first title, there is a possible teaser for a sequel that was found in the latest issue of the Dengeki PlayStation magazine in Japan. It’s likely that the sequel will indeed get localized, as well, but NIS seems to be dragging their heels with the first one, so who knows when. I’d love to add this addition to the Atelier franchise to my PS3 collection one of these days and, hey, a sequel can’t be a bad thing, right?

The People Have Spoken about Red Dead Redemption

So the contest that Rockstar started about Red Dead Redemption costumes and available perks has come and gone. While there was a clear winner, you can’t just earn the costume by pre-ordering the game and entering a code. Oh no, things are a little bit more complicated this time around.

FFXIII On the PS3 Is the Way to Go

This debate has been going on probably since we heard that Square-Enix’s flagship franchise was going cross-platform this generation.  Will it look better on the PlayStation 3 or the Xbox 360?  It seems that debate has been answered as of late.  In all honesty, this is actually one of the seemingly few games that have been developed with Sony’s system in mind.  This is because the game is not cross-platform in Japan, only in Western regions.  Naturally it had to be developed with the PS3 being its lead platform.  Let’s compare some facts about both versions.

New Alpha Protocol Developer’s Diary Talks Gadgets

Alpha Protocol is an espionage RPG that aims to make you feel like James Bond in more ways than one.  Naturally, any spy worth his salt has a ton of fancy gadgets at his disposal, and, in this game, things aren’t any different.  This developer diary delves into the various trinkets you can use in your adventures.  Here, the team at Obsidian talk about many of the gizmos found throughout the game that add much of spice and flair that you can expect once you get your hands on it.  Hit the jump for the video and remember, Alpha Protocol releases on June 1, 2010 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

It was announced late yesterday that there will in fact be a midnight launch on Monday, March 8th for what is probably the most anticipated RPG of this current generation. Hit the jump for more details!

New Prison Break Screen Shots

SouthPeak today blessed us with a new batch of screens from their upcoming TV-show-to-video-game adaptation of Prison Break for you to check out.  They attempt to entice me into viewing the images by saying in their press release to us, and I quote, “There are hot muscular men in tight shirts here, so I don’t know how you can argue with that.”  Oh, I can argue with that, I’m afraid.  Prison Break: The Conspiracy is heading to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC later this month, March 30, and will retail for $49.99 on consoles and $39.99 on PC.  Check out the screens of hot muscular men below, if you’re into that sort of thing!

Download Some Resonance of Fate Music!

Yes, you know you want to.  The official North American Resonance of Fate site recently went online.  As is typical for a game’s web site, you can watch trailers, learn about the characters and various game mechanics.  This site has all that, but what’s more is you can download whole songs from the game’s soundtrack for free!  We like free, especially since this is going to be a tight month for JRPG fans.  To pick up the tracks, hit up the official site, click on “Multimedia” at the top, then look for the “Download the Music Free” link in the lower right.  Do you think you can finish FFXIII up in a week, in time for this great-looking RPG from tri-Ace?  If not, don’t worry, it’ll still be around when you do.

Blur Trailer Shows Off Social Networking Features

Blur fancies itself as a social networking racing game, because the game focuses a lot of players working and playing together, up to 20 online at a time.  Naturally, you can have more friends in their “Racebook” (Facebook….Racebook….get it?), and you can set up custom races, share race data and photos, challenge your friends and all sorts of nifty stuff.  This is above and beyond your typical Xbox Live or PSN friends list, I might add.  Anyway, for more details and a look at some of the features that “bring people together” for this slick-looking arcade racer, check the video trailer after the break.

New Character Bio From Prison Break: The Conspiracy

Southpeak games has decided to bless us with some fresh screens from their upcoming officially licensed title Prison Break: The Conspiracy. With said screenshots and in typical SouthPeak fashion we are also given some insight as to who the character in the pictures is and what he is all about. I am actually looking forward to checking this out as I have yet to see a single episode of the TV show and I know that makes Yaris very upset. Hopefully this title will make me want to actually see it. Either way hit the jump to check out the screens and the character bio for “Lincoln Burrows.

Here’s Some Better Heavy Rain Box Art

You remember the first Heavy Rain box art that was released, with the large origami bird on the front?  The European and Japanese box art is similar.  That was cool, elusive, stylish.  Us here in North America, though, ended up with that cool origami figure pushed out of focus, to be replaced by an oversized graphic of the four main characters.  Madison Paige, oh how I adore your ample digital bosom, but you on the box art just isn’t as cool as the origami figure.  If you guys feel the same way, you’re in luck!

Sony promised that we would get a printable piece of box art that we can use to replace the Americanized spew that comes with a retail copy, and they are a company of their word, in this case.  Here’s the link to download it from Flickr, compliments of Sony.  Note that you will likely have to resize it to print it out at the dimensions specified within the image.  Enjoy!

Just Cause 2 “Trucks VS Jets” Stunt Video

Now I don’t know about you, but when I get a game that let’s me roam freely whilst blowing stuff up I make it my goal to do the silliest things i can think of. Luckily, judging from the latest trailer for Just Cause 2, I think it’s safe to say that I will be able to do just that. I mean come on it’s entitled Trucks VS Jets.’nuff said. Hit the jump to watch the clip.
