StarCraft II My Long Lost Love
You know you are addicted to a game when you start viewing replays… in your sleep. I found myself literally dreaming about Starcraft II last night. I could see myself building probes and working out strategies and then realized that I was in fact asleep. I woke up laughing to myself and thinking ‘wow’. This had not happened to me for a while, I was having video game pr0n dreams.
Views: 224A New TERA Screenshot Emerges as it Heads to USA and EU for 2011
Taking a page out of the books from Fable III’s game plan of releasing screen shots one at a time, Frogster (who is localizing the Japanese MMO title) has revealed the latest image from TERA the massive online fantasy role playing game. Click the image above to view it in all its full-size glory. If you look closely in the background of this image and imagine yourself launching enemies into the air you will see how some of the action in this title may get pretty intense at times.
Besides having highly detailed textures and a seemingly decent variety of weapons/enemies this game features a non-lock on aiming system which should be a pleasent break from the traditional MMO-RPG style combat system of just pressing a button while waiting for an action animation to complete in front of your eyes. Be sure to check out the trailer and other screens for TERA if this looks like something that might interest you and be on the lookout for more TERA news as it draws closer to a European (and stateside) release in 2011 some time around March.

One of the titles that took me by surprise and had Deputy Editor Joel Taveras excited before E3 2010 was 2K Games’ Spec Ops: The Line. I had a chance to watch a live play-through of the title with Producer Greg Kasavin and Associate Producer Chris Thomas feeding us tidbits of information in between the game’s heavy narration which serves to give the game an identity quite nicely. In the opening cinematic to the game soldiers are helping out an injured soldier who is down, but not out.
The game is set in a futuristic Dubai city which is thought to be deserted and turns into a stage for war with crossfire and planned chaos becoming the major theme early on. After a destructive series of sand storms leaving the terrain barren, you are in a world that is post-apocalyptic and get the sense that every person you might ally with or kill plays some deep part in your survival.

Supreme Commander 2 Demo Available Now!
Today the Supreme Commander 2 demo is available through Steam! This sequel to the original Supreme Commander, that revolutionized Real-Time Strategy games, and highly anticipated by over head strategic online multiplayer gamers. We can only hope the original innovations made to this massive, real-time command of war have remained in the sequel. In Supreme Commander players experienced complex strategic situations, commanding armies of up to 1,000 units per player with streamlined and practically perfected control of all units at once; land, sea, and air with 4 tiers of units in each class. An achievement unchallenged by recent Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 games, which limit players to around 50 units at a time. Read more to learn about the upcoming title, and get linked to the demo.
