Rock Band Country Pack 3 Announced

Coming up the week of February 2, more country sounds are coming to Rock Band for the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.  The upcoming artists include the likes of Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts and Willie Nelson.  I used to be way more into country than I am now, but I still like a few select artists, and Rascal Flatts is one of the groups I like, so looks like I’ll be picking up at least that one.  But, there are five more.  Here’s a list of all six tracks that will be included in this track pack.

More Alice In Chains Coming To Rock Band

If you’ve never heard the forlorn voice of Alice In Chains lead singer Layne Staley, you’re depriving your ears of some of the best grunge music ever composed. The man’s voice was full of abundant poetic anger and despair. Music that touched a little something inside of you whether you just loved hearing that genre of music or something that you could relate to. It’s the very reason why Alice In Chains still sits on my iTunes playlist.

However, as great as it is to listen to Layne moaning and groaning about solitude and resentment, their song – “Man in a Box” – was also a hella fun to play in Rock Band 2 when it was released. And, finally, after god knows how long, Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that a five pack of songs from Alice In Chains will be added next week to the Rock Band Music Store of DLC for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. Finally! Something other than Paramore to play to!

The songs, which will be released on January 14 on the PlayStation 3 and on January 12 on both the Xbox 360 and Wii, will also be available individually for download if you, for whatever reason, have a beef with one of the songs. Each individual song will cost $1.99 USD on the PSN/160 Microsoft Points/200 Wii Points, with the “Alice In Chains Pack 02″ costing $8.49 USD on the PSN/680 Microsoft Points.

Hopefully there exists more than one Alice In Chains fan (me) out there with interest of singing/playing along to the great music of the early 90’s. Oh, and before I forget, ’cause I know you’re all wondering what songs will be made available in the pack, here is the list.

  • Alice In Chains – “Grind
  • Alice In Chains – “Heaven Beside You
  • Alice In Chains – “Last of My Kind
  • Alice In Chains – “”We Die Young
  • Alice In Chains – “Your Decision
