New MotoGP 9/10 Screens and Release Date
Nothing really much to say here. Capcom has announced the release date for the upcoming title MotoGP 9/10. And no… it’s not coming out on 9/10.
New Character Bio From Prison Break: The Conspiracy
Southpeak games has decided to bless us with some fresh screens from their upcoming officially licensed title Prison Break: The Conspiracy. With said screenshots and in typical SouthPeak fashion we are also given some insight as to who the character in the pictures is and what he is all about. I am actually looking forward to checking this out as I have yet to see a single episode of the TV show and I know that makes Yaris very upset. Hopefully this title will make me want to actually see it. Either way hit the jump to check out the screens and the character bio for “Lincoln Burrows.
Breach & Clear with these new Medal of Honor Screens
Ripping a page out of Modern Warfare’s playbook, Medal of Honor is hitting the modern battlefields of the Middle East. Is this a bad thing? Heh, we’ll see. As of right now, I cannot wait to get back into the mountainous regions and hunt down some insurgents. However, one screen did make me ponder if players will be able to do some extreme off-road 4-wheeling. Maybe EA dipped into their bag of tricks even further and decided they like Pure a lot as well?

Fable III Screenshots
So, I know many people are frothing at the mouth for these, but first, let’s talk about the social political ramifications of the changing economic state in Thailand.
Kidding. Enjoy these screens. As always, click for higher res.
Looks like the return of facial features to denote good and evil have returned. As well as an option to raise a family. The big question remains will the main plot be more sandbox and open than the last iteration?

Trauma Team Developer Featurette #3
Atlus has released a featurette from art director and character designer, Masayuki Doi. In it he discusses the creation processand all things that he considers for a character. It looks as if Atlus is really going all out for the upcoming Trauma Team game for Nintendo Wii. Here are some words from Masayuki Doi and below are images, some which are in a nice comic book style. The images show some real insight on how a person can be turned into a character. One day they may even make you into a character! Enjoy and continue to lookout for Trauma Team coverage.
The Creation of Character
Masayuki Doi – Art Director & Character DesignerAs a developer, it’s always exciting to come up with something new. I believe the sensation is similar to what people feel as they’re about to play a new game for the very first time. In the last featurette, I talked about the visual aspects of Trauma Team from the art director’s point of view. Today, I’d like to go over the process of character design, using CR-S01—a skilled surgeon and one of the six protagonists in Trauma Team—as an example. I hope I can convey to you the same excitement I felt when I created this character.
Dr. Derek Stiles, protagonist of the Under the Knife titles, is probably the most recognizable surgeon to fans of the series. Dr. Kimishima was added in Second Opinion, and Dr. Vaughn and Dr. Blaylock were the main characters of New Blood. With this many surgeons already in the series, we spent a great deal of time figuring out what kind of character the surgeon in Trauma Team should be.
The game’s multi-story structure was the deciding factor. We needed each of the six protagonists to have a strong personality and presence, or else some of them would be overshadowed by the others. If you were working to create a title with a single storyline and only one protagonist, you wouldn’t be so concerned about this, but it’s a crucial element for a game like Trauma Team.
What kind of characteristics will appeal to the audience? What will make this character stand out? If we can’t breathe life into our creation, it’s nothing but a failure. After many discussions and brainstorming, we came up with this:
He’s a doctor with outstanding surgical skills, but not working for any particular hospital. In fact, he is on death row for a crime he allegedly committed. Because of his skills, however, he is summoned from the prison to perform a difficult operation. At first he seems to be devoid of emotion, but as he interacts with other doctors, he slowly regains his passion for life. His appearance is completely opposite that of a typical hero; compared to the protagonists of the past titles in the series, he is more of a solitary specialist.
How’s that? Doesn’t it make you want to know more about this character? Now that the character’s concept has been established, it’s up to the designer to create a solid image that visually expresses the character’s traits.
He stands quietly by himself, yet there’s something about him that draws your attention. At the center of his well-chiseled face are his captivating dark red eyes. You see him wearing a pure white straitjacket (there is a meaning behind the color white, but I can’t disclose that information here) underneath the white doctor’s coat.
We wanted to incorporate all the elements we had of him into the design, and make sure we would get our message across to everyone who saw this character… That’s how CR-S01 came to be.
From there, CR-S01 took off and started moving on his own in the event scenes and operations. And once the game is released, he will completely leave our hands and mature as a fully-fledged character in each player’s mind.
This is our general process of character creation. We have six protagonists (and many other characters) in Trauma Team, and we put our utmost attention to each and every one of them. It is our wish that as you play through the game, you come to like at least one character.
Finally, I’d like to mention the contest that we held at E3 2009, in which the prize was to have the winner made into a character in Trauma Team. Congratulations to Mr. Charlie Malone, and thank you for providing us with the photos! We did our best to make the character fit the game’s art style while retaining the features from the reference pictures. This character is one of the patients, so you’ll have to save his life with your own hands!
Thank you very much for your continued support! There is still much to be revealed about Trauma Team, from inside info straight from the development team to new screenshots and movies. Stay tuned!
SCEJ Launches Last Guardian Site
The newest title from Team ICO for the Playstation 3 had an official website launch courtesy of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. The Last Guardian’s website gave us high resolution screenshots, but they appear to be from the already familiar trailers.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining at all about the screens, as I’m practically frothing at the mouth for this adventure to release. However, it would have been really awesome if we got a few new screens or maybe a teaser trailer. Something to note is how many of the screens are unusually vertical. I’ve attached one of the landscape screens and you’ll have to venture to the official site for the rest of them. Also, don’t go getting attached to either the boy or the baby griffon, as one (or both) of them will most likely be dead by the end of the game. Pretty sure it is in Team ICO’s company’s mission statement to kill at least one character the player is attached to.

Bungies Dishes Out Halo:Reach Stuff
Those of you Halo fans that have been expecting some “authentic” images from franchise’s new installment, Halo: Reach, can now hyperventilate at the amount of images that we’re about to show you. Bungie has uploaded a lot of new images showing off the game’s environments, gameplay, graphics, character bio and concept art on their website. Some of the images uploaded were those “mistakenly” shown images by EBGames (which some labeled fake). Below is an exceptional amount of images for you to awe over which depicts just about everything you’ve been waiting for aside from video for the upcoming Halo: Reach.
The images below are convoluted with things that you would definitely expect to see in the Halo universe: Shiny Spartans packing more heat than the Sahara; Ugly aliens; A vehicle or two; etc. I’m pretty sure that you want me to stop the chattering so you can look at the images below. Go ahead – I’ll be quiet now. Enjoy.
A Few Red Dead Redemption Screens
After a quick visit to the Rockstar Newswire, I noticed they had put up a few screens for featuring the cover system in Red Dead Redemption. So without further ado, here are some new screens from the Wild West adventure.
Halo: Reach Screenshots Pulled By EB Games Website
Some new screenshots for Halo: Reach was released recently by EBGames on their website. If you weren’t quick enough to catch a glimpse of them, we were able to salvage some for you guys thanks to the good ol’ guys at XCast Online, who took a few of them before EBGames decided to take them down for whatever reason. Those of you with a Game Informer subscription will have most likely seen these images already in the February issue.
Some folks loved it, some folks hated it, and some folks just didn’t care. Reading around a couple of forums, it seems that quite a few people aren’t really that impressed with the graphical improvements that Halo: Reach has received. Of course, the game isn’t even finished yet, so we have some time before we can actually judge the final product. Personally, I think the graphics look good. The only question filling my head is at what resolution will Halo: Reach be running at?
What do you guys think? Are you at all impressed with how the game is coming out so far?
3D Dot Game Heroes North American Screenshots
Today, Atlus has released the first 3D Dot Game Heroes screenshots of the North American version. The game was released for PS3 in Japan on November 5, 2009 and will be releasing here for in the states for PS3 on May 11, 2010. The game itself is very nostalgic and oldschool in almost every aspect. The graphics are the way they are (check them out yourself), the gameplay is similar to oldschool adventure games like the 2D Zeldas, and the music is very basic and simple.
8 Spooky Alan Wake Screens
Fresh off the press comes the latest screenshots for the Xbox 360’s long time coming survival horror title, Alan Wake. These shots really show some serious polish, and they better considering the titles been in production for half a decade. Surival horror games usually have the ability to freak me out, especially when it’s just you against everything that goes boom in the night; however i see another dude in one of these screenshots, so I’m not as freaked out. I just hope he isn’t killed off within the first 5 minutes or something. Is it just me, or are all games that involve flashlights super f’n scary? Anyway enjoy the screens below!
