Valve's Team Fortress 2 is getting a new game mode called PASS Time. The game mode was invented as a collaboration between Valve and JJ Abram's production company Bad Robot and development studio Escalation Studios.

PASS Time is said to be a mix of  Team Fortress 2's traditional chaotic-but-entertaining gameplay and sports like football and basketball. The new game mode is still in beta and will improve with player feedback.

As massive fans of all things Valve and TF2, we've been thrilled to work with them, and the deft developers at Escalation Studios, to present this super early look at PASS Time. And now we're extremely excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with you, the players! Your feedback will be critical to making this mode, at very least, worthy of the game we all love.

PASS Time can be seen as the FPS version of Rocket League, once you read the description.

RED and BLU face off in an epic battle to score more goals than their opponents. Coordinated passing, aerial shots, interceptions, team-based formations and plays, defensive lines and the like make for strategically chaotic play.

The new game mode is already available in-game so go check it out and make sure to send your feedback to passtime@valvesoftware.com, in order to further improve it.
